It is essential that we know that leadership is an integral part of life. I mean, we wake up daily and lead ourselves to carry out certain actions like; doing our devotion, brushing our teeth, saluting our guardians, parents, siblings and even colleagues.

We even lead ourselves towards getting a better life and collaborating with other people to achieve a goal which in turn, helps us build profitable relationships while getting the job done.

Whether you know leadership as a personal thing or a group thing where you get to influence other people's decisions, we need you to also know that it is important even to God.

Now no shrub had yet appeared on the earth and no plant had yet sprung up, for the LORD God had not sent rain on the earth and there was no one to work the ground. Gen 2:5 (NIV)

The vision for leadership is transformation. As it is seen in Genesis, God created things and gave man the mandate to be in charge and appropriate the things he created as he leads.

Vision is a picture of where you are going and it requires a lot of personal leadership. To achieve your vision, first, you must have written it down and second, you should be reading and running with it. 

Running with it could be or mean the little things you have to do daily, weekly or monthly to achieve a goal - your routine. So what vision do you have for yourself? It is your vision that helps you determine what to learn.

Principles: 

These are fundamental truths or propositions that serve as the foundation for a system of belief or behaviour or for a chain of reasoning. 

Below are some principles you should consider to help improve your leadership:

I. Passion for God - Try not to negotiate it. Create time to commune with Him as you seek His guidance in your daily life.

At WordHouse, we read edifying books and do our daily devotions. 

II. Passion for Knowledge - Learning should be second nature to you. Leaders are professional leaders. Use any means you can to learn.

III. Passion for Excellence - The quality of being outstanding or extremely good is what excellence is about. 

Strive to always hit the bar of excellence in your industry. You could even move ahead to be the standard.

IV. Passion for People - If you would want to lead people, you have to have passion for them. It's not by words but by action. 

You need to be interested in their growth, well-being and success. People, most times, are what God blesses you with. They may hold your next opportunity.

V. Passion for Integrity/Righteousness - The quality of being honest and having strong moral principles is integrity. In all your dealings with men try to be in good standing.

Philosophies of the House:

It is important that as a leader, you should try to align yourself with the philosophies of your organization too.

These are things that the leaders we are raising for transformation possess and this is gotten through followership and adherence to the things we teach.
