WordHouse Has a New Overseer

On December 31st, 2020.

The Holy Spirit gave me an instruction to start a community for those who wanted to take their daily devotion seriously in 2021.

I obeyed the instruction and WordHouse came to be.

I posted an invitation on my WhatsApp status and around 23 people joined.

We had a discussion session where I laid out the purpose and process of the community.

We started by using the daily devotional found in the Youversion Bible App.

Devotions were tracked daily in the group as people had to submit their notes and our walk with God as a group improved over time.

Divine Roadmap

As time went on, we started getting more instructions.

One of the first was to start a Sunday Night session.

I taught most of those sessions and like every Wordhouse member knows it was rare for me to know the topic beforehand.

Most times it was when we were saying opening prayers that the topic for the day dropped.

It was one of the things that taught us the importance of following God step by step.

Obedience is what sets the stage for clarity.

Another major milestone was our Thursday fasting and prayers.

And it came after a season when the Holy Spirit taught us about the importance of fasting.

Currently, we also pray from 9 pm to 12 Midnight (prayer chain) on the first three days of every new month.

As we grew in size the instruction for cells came, we currently have 7 cells in Wordhouse with over 120 leaders.

Raising Leaders That Transform Society

This is the mission of WordHouse and it deeply influences everything we do.

Everyone in WordHouse is a societal leader and is getting the training required to back it.

Currently, joining WordHouse is only possible through passing a series of processes.

We only admit people who meet those requirements.

In the world that we live in, one of the easiest things to do is to join a community.

All it takes is an invite link.

But joining doesn’t mean you will interact or follow the systems of the community.

So we knew early on.

That if we are going to be able to raise leaders that transform society we need to admit only those who show they are truly ready.

House Activities

What God has been able to work through us as a house has been amazing.

I always tell Wordhouse members that if God showed me all that we are doing now in the beginning.

I might have not obeyed the call because I would never believe I had what it takes.

But at the end of the day, God is the one who calls and sustains us.

We have hosted three foundation school trainings so far.

In Foundation School, we learn about the core tenets of Christianity, things like soul-winning, personal devotion, Christian Fellowship, and also Holy Ghost Baptism.

We held a WordHouse Camp last year in Enugu where we met in person and had a physical fellowship for three days.

We also hold physical meetups in our various states every six weeks.

Sonship Era

In August last year, the Holy Spirit told us that we just entered an era of Sonship.

What it meant is that we were now being commissioned to go out and influence society more actively.

We had been focusing more on “ Raising Leaders”.

The time to “ Transform Society” has come.

We didn’t know what it fully entailed but over the past ten months, we have seen Him move us more towards Missions.

We held the SOAR conference at the beginning of this year and it would be a long time before we fully recover from its impact.

I don’t think we will ever recover.

New Milestone

Seven weeks ago, I got the instruction from the Holy Spirit.

It was time for another move.

And this time I was the one being moved.

I have served as the WordHouse overseer since its inception.

But now it was time for a Son of the House to move us towards unlocking a new dimension.

We have a lot of Sons in WordHouse, but He was specific with who it was.

It was Ashinedu.

Even now as I type this, the amount of Joy that is flowing through my heart can’t be described.

She is someone whose leadership abilities I admire so much and I have no doubt that God would work mighty things among us through her.

She is one of the people who function deeply with the spirit of the House and I am glad that God chose her to lead us in this next stage.

WordHouse Leadership School

Being raised as leaders has helped us all improve the value we offer to society.

So for me, this is not the end.

The reward for great work is more work.

I have been commissioned by the Holy Spirit to create a Christian Leadership School.

So I am using this opportunity to call on anyone who might need the school.

It does matter if you have started the community or not.

Closing Thoughts

We have come a long way since that initial instruction.

Our walk with God as a house has shown us His faithfulness.

If there is one thing that you learn from reading this.

It is to trust God with every area of your life and He will lead you to places that you never imagine.

Like Jesus told Peter in John 21:18

“Very truly I tell you, when you were younger you dressed yourself and went where you wanted; but when you are old you will stretch out your hands, and someone else will dress you and lead you where you do not want to go.”

God may be leading you into unfamiliar territories.

But rest in the assurance that He would be with you every step of the way.

Just Obey the initial instruction.

No matter how little it may seem.

Amazing things will follow.
